Dr. Schuessler, the discoverer of the Biochemic system of medicine was a genius scientist, a highly respected physician and a great teacher, known worldwide for his contributions to medical science. Besides his expertise in biochemistry, he was also a master of multiple languages, including Latin, Greek, French, Italian, Spanish, and English.
His Philosophy and Helping Others…..
Schüßler didn’t care about wealth or fame. He was more concerned with sharing his knowledge to help others. He believed that good health could be maintained by giving the body the minerals it needed, and he worked to teach this idea to people, not to make a profit.
His main focus was on helping people stay healthy with natural remedies, especially his cell salts (Tissue Salt).
Despite his fame and success, he remained humble, living simply and prioritizing his patients over wealth. He worked with the intention of improving public well-being, not for financial gain. His medical fees were low, and he often treated families for free. Though he accumulated some wealth, it was due to his vast medical practice and minimal personal expenses.
The great man was a very modest and humble person. Dr. Schüßler never wrote an autobiography, despite repeated requests from his friends and followers. He preferred to provide importance on his work rather than talk about himself. He was unmarried and devoted his whole life to heal the world by his wonderful remedy. His sense of purpose was much more aligned with the betterment of humanity rather than any materialistic desires.
His main contribution to medicine was the discovery that essential mineral salts are crucial for human health. He believed that many diseases could be treated by restoring the body’s mineral balance using these salts. His simple yet effective healing system became popular worldwide and continues to be used today.
He was known for his honesty and strong principles, which sometimes made him seem harsh. However, even his critics respected him for his integrity. His entire life was devoted to helping people through his discoveries in Biochemic Therapy (Tissue Salt Therapy).
Life..
Born on August 21, 1821, in Oldenburg, Germany, he initially studied philology before pursuing medicine. He studied in Paris, Berlin, Giessen, and Prague, earning his medical license in 1857.
While practicing, he developed his own system of treatment—biochemistry—after being influenced by scientists like Moleschott and Virchow.
Schuessler’s biochemistry focused on the importance of minerals in the body and their role in health. His method spread worldwide, and many doctors adopted his approach. His book Abridged Therapy was translated into multiple languages and its 25th edition was published shortly.
On April 5th, he was laid to rest in a solemn ceremony. Though he is gone, his work continues to influence medicine, and future generations will remember and appreciate his contributions to biochemistry.
Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler, the founder of Biochemistry, passed away on March 30th due to a stroke. He had been in good health until March 14th when he suffered a stroke but briefly recovered enough to complete the final proof of the 25th edition of his book, Abridged Therapy. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, and he passed away peacefully.
Connection with India:
Wilhelm Heinrich Schüßler, the founder of Biochemistry (Schuessler’s Tissue Salts), had an indirect but significant connection with India. His system of biochemistry, which focuses on the use of essential mineral salts to maintain health, gained popularity in India. Even today, Biochemic remedies are a fundamental part of medical study in India. His legacy in natural healing remains strong and his work continues to benefit people across the world.
The Virtue of Tissue Salt Therapy and Biochemic Remedies
Tissue Salt Therapy, also called Biochemic Remedies, is a natural way to heal the body using essential mineral salts. These salts are already present in our body and help keep us healthy. When there is a shortage of any salt, we may feel weak or develop health problems. Taking the right tissue salt can restore balance and help the body heal itself.
Some Important Benefits of Tissue Salt Therapy
How Does Tissue Salts Work
Tissue salts are thought to work through cellular absorption and biochemical regulation. Each of the 12 salts represents a mineral that is necessary for the proper functioning of cellular processes. Schüßler believed that when a mineral is deficient or out of balance in the body, it can lead to disease or dysfunction at the cellular level.
Biochemic tissue remedies are very diluted forms (triturated) of minerals used in natural medicine. The minerals in these remedies are in such small amounts that, even though they’re not replacing the minerals your body needs directly, they might help the body “stimulate” its healing processes.
Here’s how hormesis might apply to these remedies:
In simple terms, the hormesis effect in Schüßler salts suggests that small doses of these minerals might encourage your body to fix any imbalances or deficiencies, in a way that’s helpful but not harmful—kind of like how a small amount of stress can help improve health.
Last but not the least…
Tissue salts work by supplementing the body’s mineral balance at the cellular level, which can improve function, promote healing, and restore homeostasis. The formulas above correspond to specific mineral compounds, each targeting a particular physiological function. Tissue salts continue to be used widely in complementary and alternative medicine.
A large portion of Biochemic scientists, physicians, therapists and Patients have reported positive outcomes and effectiveness especially on addressing the deficiencies of minerals in body and improving overall well-being.
